CCOT Report 2015-2016

“Only a life lived in the service of others is a life worth living” – Albert Einstein. The year 2016 saw a new inclusion in the functioning of the Orphans’ Trust- the 80G Certificate obtained due to the efforts of the CC Managing Committee. This will go a long way in receiving donations and raising funds which enable the CCOT to reach out in a larger way. The Annual Orphans’ Day Christmas celebration was held In December with time Christmas spirit. I extend my sincere gratitude to all the Members, volunteers, donors and the Catholic Club Staff for leaving no stone unturned, to make this day special. It is noteworthy, that the children from various orphanages showcased their remarkable talent on that day. The enthusiasm and flair displayed for the entertainment programme was amazing. Medical camps were held for the orphanages and note books were distributed to St. Mary’s Orphanage. Thanks to the team of doctors who organized the medical Camps. The Golf Tournament has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances but will be held shortly. The proceeds of the tournament and the Charity Ball go in funding various activities for the orphanages. We hope to receive a huge response for this tournament and the Charity Ball that will be conducted after the tournament. Your response makes a difference in reaching out to those in need. Please do try to make the difference… Special thanks to Dr. Bobby Joseph, Dr. Pretesh and his team, the Members of the Golf Committee, Members of the CC Managing Committee and Members of the CCOT for the valuable time and effort to make this year a success. Without their help and unstinting assistance, working of the CCOT is unimaginable. It is hard work and motivation coupled with commitment that facilitates the CCOT to extend the much-needed support in making the lives of those taken under their wing, a better one.
