CCOT Report 2014-2015

This year too, the CCOT continued to provide support in areas of education, health care, nutrition, infrastructure to orphanages that we are already working with. Efforts will be made to include new orphanages to this growing list with focus being on the more needy ones. I hope senior members of the CCOT committee will continue to mentor the younger members of the team, to ensure we provide quality programs, to allow members to network as well as raise funds and promote a positive image of our work with members and sponsors. While the success of CCOT is certainly related to hard work, the biggest part of our success is dictated by the members of the committee. Together we have accomplished many things. I know the current team have a lot of great ideas, and it is my hope that everyone will assess their talents and look for at least one opportunity to volunteer their help. Due to reasons beyond our control, The Annual Golf Tournament could not be held this year thereby depriving the CCOT of the vital funds required to support various activities. Hopefully the hurdles will be cleared and the tournament will be conducted the coming year. Annual Orphans’ Day programme kicked off the Club’s Christmas celebrations. This year too it was a whopping success with about 600 kids in attendance from more than 10 Orphanages, and each one going home with a hamper of substantial value. Thanks are due to our member’s efforts, and several well-wishers’ contributions, without which all this would not have been possible. CCOT organised medical Camps at St. Mary’s Orphanage, Chaitanya and Sacred Heart Thanks to Drs. Bobby Joseph & Pretesh Kiran, Greg D’sa, Gregory DeNazareth, Greg Pacheco, Mavis Smith, Preeti Veigas, Naveen Mendonza, Devika Johnson, Yentl D’Silva, Trustees, Office Bearers and members of the Managing committee, for their support and generosity. Thanks to the Golf Committee for their efforts and support. My sincere thanks to the Management & Staff of the Catholic Cub for all their support and their efforts in conducting our programs. Looking forward to a year where our focus will be the children and all that we can do to make it better for them.
