Caring for Their Health – Medical Drive at RTC Orphanage Home
30th August 2026
Continuing its commitment to the health and well-being of children, CCOT organised a Medical Drive at RTC Orphanage Home on 30th August 2026.
The day was planned not only to focus on the children’s health but also to make the Experience Joyful, Engaging and Memorable for them. A team of dedicated Doctors generously gave their time and expertise to attend to the children and provide professional medical consultations and health guidance. The medical team included Dr. Bobby, Dr. Pretesh, Dr. Vijayalakshmi, Dr. Mohit, Dr. Esha Raja and Dr. Greeshma.
To add fun and excitement to the day, Music and Dance were part to entertainment for the children. The lively session brought plenty of smiles, laughter and enthusiasm, creating a wonderful atmosphere and making the medical drive feel less like a routine health camp and more like a day of celebration and togetherness.
Following the consultations, medicines were prescribed for children who required further treatment. CCOT promptly placed the required orders for the medicines and ensured that the prescribed medicines were procured and delivered ensuring continuity of care.
Adding to the day’s celebrations, scrumptious Biryani and Kebabs were provided for lunch which the children thoroughly enjoyed. The combination of Healthcare, Music, Dance and a special meal made the day a memorable one for the children.
As part of the continued medical care, a Dental follow-up was arranged on 6th, 13th & 20th September 2026. These visits focused on addressing the dental concerns identified during the initial medical drive. The Dental assessment identified 42 children that needed to receive the necessary treatment such as cleaning, filling & extraction and guidance was provided to maintain future oral hygiene.
While waiting for their appointments, all the children were provided with refreshments making their wait more comfortable and enjoyable.
To ensure a smooth and safe experience, transportation was arranged by CCOT, with cabs provided for the children and accompanying caregivers for both the onward and return journeys for all 3 batches.
CCOT sincerely thanks all the Doctors for their valuable time and expertise, along with the volunteers Joey & Amanda Santiago, Rex D’silva, Savith Gonzalves, Vinita Thumboochetty, Mable Pinto, Preethi, Shubha, Diya & Frazer who contributed to making the initiative a success. The smiles, laughter and enthusiasm of the children made the day truly special and reaffirmed CCOT’s continued commitment to the health, happiness and holistic well-being of children in orphanage homes.
